Saint-Gobain Wayne, NJ is looking for a Logistics and Inventory Specialist
Work schedule is Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Pay Rate is $29.00 an hour plus a 10% annual bonus

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist is responsible for executing day-to-day warehouse logistics and inventory control activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant material flow in support of site operations and customer service. This role contributes directly to safety, service, cost, and inventory accuracy objectives by preparing customer orders, managing shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring warehouse equipment and areas are kept in best-in-class condition.

Prepare, pick, pack, and stage customer orders in accordance with customer requirements, internal SOPs, and shipping schedules.
Manage customer portals and generate Advanced Shipment Notices (ASN) accurately and on time.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and customer-specific paperwork.
Coordinate with Customer Service and Planning to support daily shipping plans and priorities.
Receive incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods in accordance with site procedures.
Verify quantities, identification, and documentation accuracy; report and escalate discrepancies or non-conformances.
Check in/out carriers and support safe, efficient dock operations.
Perform regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventories per site and corporate requirements.
Investigate inventory variances and support corrective actions to improve accuracy.
Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and logistics performance.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and in compliance with training and certification requirements.
Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

High School Diploma or GED required / Associated Degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control required.
Forklift driving experience required; ability to obtain and maintain site forklift certification is mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Basic computer skills; experience with ERP/SAP or warehouse systems preferred.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
Basic command of the English language, written and verbal.
